Research and Development Engineers at Kitware also have the opportunity to publish and maintain open source software packages.\nIn This Position You Will:\nDesign and implement large-scale software frameworks that enable cutting-edge research algorithms to run optimally across diverse environments, from embedded systems and mobile platforms to desktop applications to cloud infrastructure\nTake a leadership role in working with the community to maintain quality open source software on platforms such as GitHub and GitLab\nHave opportunities to learn more about emerging topics in computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years of experience and/or a Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant subject matter and 3 years of experience\nSignificant C++ experience\nPython experience \nExperience integrating 3rd party libraries\nExperience with distributed processing/computing \nExperience designing and implementing complex software systems \nExperience optimizing code\nLeadership experience reviewing and overseeing others’ code development\nSome experience in other programming languages, especially Python \nDue to contractual requirements, only U.S. citizens will be considered for this position\nIf not already cleared TS/SCI, willingness and
