At kiutra, we contribute to the development and application of quantum technologies by offering innovative and sustainable cooling solutions based on our unique magnetic cooling technology.\nTo strengthen our team, we are looking for a Cryo Engineer (f/m/d) who is eager to drive the development of our magnetic cooling systems for applied quantum technologies - from simulation through hardware prototyping to production readiness. \nResponsibilities\nYou support research and development activities on magnetic refrigeration for applied quantum technologies, with a focus on quantum computing\nYou plan, coordinate, and support the development and fabrication of hardware prototypes and their key components\nYou actively contribute to FEM simulations analyzing the mechanical, thermal, and magnetic properties of the systems\nYou create CAD models of new systems, iterate them across development stages, and bring them to production readiness\nYou create, maintain, and update technical documentation for prototypes and systems\nYou ensure that assigned tasks and work packages are completed within agreed timelines\nYou regularly report on development progress internally and to funding agencies if applicable\nYou are responsible for quality control and release processes within the PLM system, ensuring that hardware, documentation, and bills of materials comply with defined quality and release standards\nRequirements\nPhD or a completed Master's degree with 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in physics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field\nHands-on experience in cryogenic engineering (e.g. ADR, dilution refrigerators, pulse tube coolers) and/or in applied quantum technology (e.g. quantum computing hardware), including the relevant mechanical, thermal, and magnetic design aspects\nProficient with CAD software for designing and iterating mechanical assemblies through to production readiness\nExperience with FEM simulation tools (e.g. ANSYS, COMSOL) for mechanical, thermal, and/or magnetic analysis\nIdeally, experience with PLM systems and with quality control and release processes in a hardware development environment\nStructured, self-driven way of working - you keep track of multiple parallel work packages and timelines\nFluent English, particularly for engaging with international partners and funding agencies; German language skills are a plus.
