The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with enterprise and trading-grade networking, L2/L3 troubleshooting, multicast market data distribution, and operational support in production systems.\nThe core responsibilities for the job include the following:\nNetwork Design and Operations:\nDesign, manage, and optimize high-availability network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS policies for trading and corporate environments.\nEnsure reliable, low-latency connectivity between internal systems, global exchanges, co-location sites, and inter-office networks.\nConfigure and maintain multicast routing (PIM, IGMP) for market data distribution and order execution systems.\nTrading and Co-Location Support\nManage connectivity with domestic and international exchanges across multiple regions.\nOversee co-location site operations, including power, space, rack capacity planning, access management, vendor coordination, and procurement.\nAct as a technical point of contact for telecom providers, data center operators, and hardware vendors.\nMonitoring, Troubleshooting, and Support:\nProvide L2/L3 production support in a live trading environment.\nMonitor network performance and availability; proactively identify and resolve issues.\nTroubleshoot complex network problems using tools such as Wireshark, Tcpdump, Iperf, and SNMP-based monitoring systems.\nParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.\nAutomation and Continuous Improvement:\nAutomate network configuration, deployment, and monitoring tasks using Python and/or shell scripting.\nPerform firmware upgrades, configuration changes, and capacity planning with minimal downtime.\nDrive continuous improvements in network reliability, performance, and scalability.\nSystems and Collaboration:\nProvide basic support for Linux-based trading systems (Ubuntu/CentOS), including hardware changes, OS-level configuration, and application support as required.\nMaintain accurate documentation for network architecture, configurations, procedures, and incident logs.\nCollaborate closely with trading desks, quant teams, system administrators, and external vendors.\nTravel occasionally to co-location or data center sites as business needs require.\nRequirements:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related IT discipline.\n3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or network support roles.\nStrong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, and network security fundamentals.\nExperience working in high-availability or mission-critical environments;
