We are looking for a Senior Quant Developer to lead a small engineering team and build the systems that power our trading and research platform.\n\nRole Overview : \n\nThis is a hands-on technical leadership role with end-to-end ownership. You will lead a team of 23 software engineers while remaining deeply involved in architecture, development, deployment, and production. Python will be the primary language, with opportunities to contribute to Rust-based projects. Prior Rust experience is a plus, but not mandatory.\n\nWhat You'll Do : \n\n- Lead and mentor a team of 23 software engineers.\n\n- Design, build, and maintain high-performance Python applications.\n\n- Own software projects end-to-end, from system design through production deployment.\n\n- Drive architectural decisions, code quality, engineering standards, and best practices.\n\n- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, quants, and engineering teams to build scalable systems.\n\nWhat We're Looking For : \n\n- Bachelor's degree from a Tier-1 institute such as IITs, IISc, IIITs, BITS, ISI, or an equivalent global university.\n\n- 5+ years of backend software development experience, including 2+ years in a senior or technical leadership role.\n\n- Strong expertise in Python and experience building production-grade backend systems.\n\n- Deep understanding of software architecture, concurrency, operating systems, memory models, and performance optimization.\n\n- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex engineering projects.\n\nNice to Have : \n\n- Exposure to Rust, PyO3, or FFI.\n\n- Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems.\n\n- Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, SQL/NoSQL databases, and large-scale data processing.\n\nWhy Join Kivi Capital? : \n\n- Build cutting-edge technology for quantitative trading.\n\n- High ownership with the freedom to make meaningful technical decisions.\n\n- Work alongside exceptional engineers and quantitative researchers.\n\n- Fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal bureaucracy.\n\n- Competitive compensation and performance-driven rewards.\n\nImportant Note : \n\nNo prior experience in quantitative trading is required.
