Backend Developer - Node.js

As a Node.js Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power our web applications. You will collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other engineers to build robust and high-performance systems. Exposure to Next.js will be beneficial for handling server-side rendering and frontend integration.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js .
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend and mobile applications.
• Work with Next.js to support server-side rendering and full-stack application development.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality product features.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB for data storage and management.
• Implement authentication, security, and data protection mechanisms.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Follow best practices for clean code, modular architecture, and version control.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in Node.js, backend development, and product engineering.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-8 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Next.js and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of scalable backend systems and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced product environment.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience working in product-based companies.
• Knowledge of React.js or modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of system design and distributed architecture.
