Join a close-knit team delivering essential rail infrastructure that keeps New Zealand moving.\nHe whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role\nWe're looking for an experienced Signals Technician Level 3 or 4 to join our Napier-based Network Services team.\nIn this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, testing, fault-finding and repairing critical signalling assets that support the safe and efficient operation of New Zealand's rail network. You'll work across a variety of signalling systems and rail infrastructure, applying your technical expertise to minimise disruptions, improve asset reliability, and contribute to the ongoing performance of the network.\nKey responsibilities include:\nMaintaining, testing and repairing signalling equipment, track circuits, level crossings and interlocking systems\nDiagnosing faults and restoring signalling assets safely and efficiently\nInterpreting technical drawings, diagrams and engineering documentation\nCompleting maintenance records and technical documentation accurately\nParticipating in emergency response callouts when required\nContributing to a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, risk management and continuous improvement activities\nNgā driver's licence\nProven experience maintaining and fault-finding electrical or signalling systems in a rail, infrastructure, utilities or similar technical environment\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation\nStrong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safe work practices\nA collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively both independently and as
