We embrace an attitude of optimism and genuinely enjoy collaborating.\nKey Responsibilities \nAbility to iteratively improve a solution that uses nondeterministic components by using experimental methods\nWork with Engineering leaders to ensure we’re building reliable, maintainable software\nPartner with the product team to design feasible features, create consumable tickets, and assess implementation\nWork with the Frontend Engineering Team Lead(s) to ensure the user-facing experience is polished and uses backend features as intended\nCraft flexible, reliable, and scalable code\nWrite tests and evals to ensure stability as the codebase evolves over time\nMeet technical issues head on: troubleshooting and quickly creating resolution plans to rapidly address acute customer impact, while also planning for long-term success\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree or greater required in Computer Science (preferred), Information Technology, or related field (Physics, mathematics, engineering)\nAbility to facilitate a task’s entire lifecycle, going from product requirements to deployment\n5 - 7+ years of professional development experience (Python preferred)\nExperience shipping LLM-enabled features in production\nExceptional collaboration, organizational, time management, and communication skills\nAbility to navigate ambiguity and adapt to a quickly changing environment\nDriven and self-motivated with a track record of finding and solving difficult problems\nAn eye for opportunity / good at creative optimization problems\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Django\nExperience with LangGraph, LiteLLM, or similar\nWorking knowledge of at least one evaluation system\nUnderstanding of Agentic best practices\nExperience implementing MCP Servers/Clients\nExperience with Postgres, Redis, S3, Memcache\nExperience deploying applications with Kubernetes\nExperience implementing RAG\nYou’ve made or contributed to open-source projects and have your fair share of side projects\nWhy Kizen\nWe’re a fast-growing company that values innovation, growth, and continuous improvement.
