Our services organization maximizes the value of our customers' KLA assets - with highly trained service and product support engineers providing installation services and 24/7 technical support and parts delivery through our extensive supply chain network.What You'll Do\nIn this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.\nPerform hands-on diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronics at the PCB and board level to support KLA products throughout their lifecycle. This role requires strong technical capability in PCBA failure analysis, the ability to work through circuit-level problems with limited design documentation, and close collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver timely, high-quality repair solutions\nKey Responsibilities:\nDiagnose and troubleshoot defective PCBAs using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and related lab equipment\nConduct PCBA design analysis (reverse engineering) to understand circuit intent and failure modes, building toward reverse engineering capability\nTroubleshoot PCBA issues with limited or no design documentation, applying critical thinking and systematic debugging techniques\nPerform board-level failure analysis on analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, working with senior engineers when issues span sub-system boundaries\nSupport the development of board diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair plans - including contributing to approach definition, timeline estimation, and identification of technical dependencies\nSupport engineering change orders (ECOs) with technical justification and cross-functional coordination\nContribute to root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation, with increasing independence on moderate-complexity problems\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, software, manufacturing, service, supply chain) to support issue resolution\nSupport technical engagement with external vendors on issue resolution and repair readiness\nDevelop and maintain engineering documentation including test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and repair records.\nEngage with suppliers to train them on board troubleshooting, repair execution trainings\nCommunicate progress, findings, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nWork effectively with junior and senior team members in a collaborative environment\nTravel for escalations as needed, primarily to Singapore and China\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline\n7+ years of experience in electronics develop, sustaining engineering, or board-level sub-system support\nDemonstrated ability to independently resolve complex board and sub-system level issues\nStrong expertise in analog and digital circuit design principles and hands-on PCBA troubleshooting\nProven experience driving root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and ECO execution\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams\nMinimum Qualifications\nMaster's Level Degree and 3 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5years; or equivalent work experience\nAbout KLA\nWe provide advanced inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions, and computational analytics that make electronics possible, tackling complex challenges.
