Our services organization maximizes the value of our customers' KLA assets - with highly trained service and product support engineers providing installation services and 24/7 technical support and parts delivery through our extensive supply chain network.What You'll Do\nIn this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.\nProduct Engineer serves as the central technical resource collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, technical support, installation, quality, marketing, part supply chain and field as the product(s) move through the Product Life Cycle. This role will coordinate and work directly with the aforementioned teams to incorporate beneficial serviceability, part supportability and service business practice improvements into product serviceability.\nJob Scope\nInfluence Product Service Life Cycle (SLC) contributes features that will optimize KLA’s service business: retrofit, calibrations/diagnostics, Cost of Service, reliability, PM optimization, Intellectual Property (IP) protection.\nBuild solid expertise in overall system operation, system integration and system calibrations/diagnostics.\nSpares obsolescence risk analysis and coordination with Spares Planning team to build and execute initiatives that mitigate Service supply chain risk, including closing known issues and collaboration with KLAS Engineering/Sustaining Engineering and Operation team\nSupport FCO, Tech Talk, Service Bulletin, and Best-Known Method (BKM) deployment activities\nLead FRU and Sub-FRU enablement initiatives to improve serviceability, reduce downtime, and simplify field repairs.\nDevelop and maintain service kits, installation packages and associated documentation required for field implementation.\nHands-on work for integration of Alpha/Beta systems/retrofits, including performing serviceability validation.\nAble to step sustain product's critical customer issues, analyze data from various sources, and work with Engineering to provide a detailed plan of action (POA).\nDemonstrate learning and knowledge across the Product Support Organization through training classes, individual coaching, documents, and updating other knowledge capture tools.\nContribute to the service alert meeting and POA development.
