There is never a dull moment with us.Job Description/PreferredQualifications\nResponsibilities:\nA seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways;\nThis job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey level position;\nWork on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise;\nNormally receive little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments;\nEvaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems related to installation;\nCan repair issues using standard procedures or innovate to resolve system level problems which can have multiple causes;\nTroubleshooting and repairs of complex system level problems are based on IE3's technical knowledge, education and training;\nHelp from Staff Engrs and Management when problems occur that may exceed knowledge, education and training;\nPrepare field service reports and daily passdowns on Installation progress and non-conformances;\nContribute to post-activity Quality Feedback Report;\nObtain all necessary international travel documents and manages their personal lives to be ready to travel for extended periods;\nManage personal finances to prevent disruption to scheduled activities - even when traveling for extended periods;\nTravels domestically and internationally by commercial transportation to customer sites. Assists junior engineers as necessary;\nProvides guidance and technical assistance at customer sites;\nCan develop basic POAs. Provides phone and on-site support for junior engineers;\nThe nature of work requires that IE's work and travel independently;\nWork independently and only occasionally require guidance from Management;\nIt is expected that IE3's exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies;\nRequired to update management on a daily basis thru progress pass downs and service reports;\nIE's spend most of their time at customer sites installing new tools;\nRequired to work 6 day workweeks with high amounts of overtime;\nMove from one activity to another without returning to the home office;\nTravel is often across international borders and the IE often travels alone.\nRequirements:\nBachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (ASET minimum degree plus 3 years direct work experience). Experience in supporting comparable capital equipment for the semiconductor industry is required;\nAnalytical skills;\nMechanical aptitude;\nAbility to understand and troubleshoot problems in software and electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems;\nKnowledge of computer theory, various operating systems and applicable operating system software knowledge, Networking in a Windows, Unix or Novell environment;\nBasic automation functionality on assigned equipment set;\nMust successfully complete required and ongoing technical training to acquire a thorough knowledge of company equipment; including installation procedures and the application of diagnostic techniques and practical application of service aids;\nCompetent with the MS Office suite of applications; \nAttain and maintain Installation Certification Level 3 - Proficiency in complete product installation, upgrade, and system level repair of a product within a family is required;\nSemiconductor industry process knowledge, required to take the KT class for Introduction to semiconductor processes;\nGood interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customer needs.
