Group/Division

The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division delivers industry-leading metrology solutions essential to advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Its portfolio includes systems for measuring film thickness, critical dimensions, composition, and resistivity-key to developing and scaling next-gen IC processes. FaST partners closely with customers from early R&D through high-volume production, ensuring performance and process alignment.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

• Manage the RDA apps group in Taiwan.
• Responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA optical thin film and SCD metrology in customer fabrication facilities.
• SCD Layer owner on complex demos.
• Be responsible for customers recipe development and setup, technical training, project execution, and related pre-sales activities. Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs. Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.
• Reports regional requirement and updates to product division.
• Escalates field apps issue to division and follow up for issue fix. Works on sophisticated problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
• Generate film and SCD recipe development BKMs and publish technical paper.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 2-4 years, Masters with 3-5 years, or Bachelors with 7+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in engineering applications.
• Strong communication and major semiconductor metrology customer management skills.
• Hands-on experience of optical metrology modeling.
• Thoroughly understands engineering principles and techniques related to optical metrology project activities.
• Show a high degree of proficiency in several other related technical areas, such as data analysis, machine learning etc.
• Ability to recognize metrology system-wide issues and develop accordingly.
• Strong working knowledge of metrology hardwareandsoftwaretesting techniques.
• Solid understanding of various metrology applicationsfor semiconductor process monitoring and control.
• Ability to independently resolve sophisticated problems.
• Strong technical presentation skillsandstrong project management skills.
