It also offers comprehensive service and spare parts through a worldwide network of service centers and qualified local agents.What You'll Do\nIn this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.\nPart of the SPTS Engineering division, the Equipment Engineering and Development Group is a multi-disciplined team, providing automation solutions to enable the integration of SPTS process systems into customer semiconductor fabrication factories worldwide.\nWe are constantly developing new products, and this role was created to strengthen this aspect of our business.\nAs the successful candidate, you will be an experienced Engineer with an understanding of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, and will be capable of building a solid expertise in overall system operation, integration, and calibrations/diagnostics. Must have a hands-on approach by learning from the engineering team to support Alpha & Beta Systems and retrofits.\nYou'll team up with other specialists within a project advising on equipment design/integration. We work to tight deadlines in a highly regulated industry.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement ETCH semiconductor process equipment\nWiring harness and electrical design, some mechanical design\nLeading or a heavy involvement in building and testing prototypes\nPlan and execute hardware testing, validation, and performance characterisation\nTesting and compliance of machines to international standards\nFault finding and optimisation as part of our PLC process\nSupport technology development programmes from early concept through to installation and commissioning at customer sites\nWork with process engineers to optimise hardware performance for reliability and process capability\nTechnical report writing\nSupporting the transition of designs from development to production\nKey Skills:\nA flexible work ethic and ability to use initiative\nGood analytical and fault-finding skills\nAble to work both autonomously and as part of a team\nWell organised - You’ll work autonomously, often in different time zones and be trusted to work without assistance or management.\nComposed - You’ll thrive in the sometimes-pressurised environment of semiconductor manufacturing environments.\nAble to demonstrate strong Communication skills - You’ll enjoy establishing and maintaining good working relationships with both customers and colleagues\nOccasional domestic and international travel, including to the United States, may be required as part of this role\nWhat we will offer you?
