It also offers comprehensive service and spare parts through a worldwide network of service centers and qualified local agents.What You'll Do\nIn this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the PVD Engineering team, supporting the development, qualification, and continuous improvement of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.\nWorking within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and integration of electrical systems used throughout our PVD product portfolio. The role spans the full product lifecycle, from concept development and new product introduction through manufacturing support, customer installations, compliance activities, and field issue resolution.\nThis position offers the opportunity to work on complex equipment incorporating power distribution, machine safety systems, motion control, vacuum subsystems, process instrumentation, and equipment control architecture.\nThe successful candidate will be a proactive engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, working across multiple engineering disciplines, and contributing to the development of highly reliable products used by leading semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafety & Compliance\nDesign and validate safety-related control systems in accordance with applicable standards.\n Support compliance activities relating to CE, UL, NFPA, SEMI, and other applicable regulations.\nParticipate in risk assessments and machine safety reviews.\nDevelop and maintain documentation required to support compliance and certification activities.\nElectrical Design & Development\nDesign and develop electrical systems, assemblies, and control architectures for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.\nGenerate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and supporting engineering documentation.\nSupport the integration of electrical hardware with mechanical, software, process, and systems engineering teams.\nConduct design reviews and ensure designs meet functional, safety, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.\nSupport product development activities from concept through qualification and release to manufacture.\nProduct Support & Continuous Improvement\nInvestigate and resolve electrical issues affecting product performance, reliability, safety, manufacturing, or customer acceptance.\nSupport root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions.\nDrive product improvement initiatives focused on reliability, serviceability, cost reduction, and obsolescence management.\nSupport field service and customer escalation activities where required.\nSupplier & Manufacturing Support\nWork closely with suppliers to develop and qualify electrical assemblies and components.\nSupport manufacturing teams with build issues, testing, and design improvements.\nReview and approve component substitutions and engineering changes.\nOccasional domestic and international travel (up to 10%), including to the United States, may be required as part of this role\nMinimum Qualifications\nDegree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.\nExperience in electrical design and development within an industrial, automation, capital equipment, or high-technology environment\nAbout KLA\nWe provide advanced inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions, and computational analytics that make electronics possible, tackling complex challenges.
