Group/Division

The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. KLA's Central Engineering organization is made up of nine Centers of Excellence (CoEs) spanning disciplines like automation, motion control, sensors, platform design, and packaging. Each CoE contributes not only technical deliverables but also deep expertise, best practices, and advanced tools that elevate both what we build-and how we build it.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Quality Engineer with strong software development, automation, and AI skills. You will build frameworks, tools, and intelligent solutions that improve product testability, accelerate defect detection, and enable quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for desktop, web, API, and system-level testing.
• Develop reusable software tools, libraries, APIs, and utilities that improve testability and engineering productivity.
• Partner with developers to review designs, improve code testability, and drive Shift-Left quality practices.
• Integrate automated validation and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply AI and intelligent algorithms to generate tests, analyze logs, identify failure patterns, and accelerate root cause analysis.
• Automate the collection, transformation, and reporting of test results and quality metrics.
• Build actionable dashboards using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Support DevOps, continuous testing, and release-readiness initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong software development experience using C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, or a similar programming language.
• Strong understanding of OOP, OOD, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
• Experience developing automation frameworks, developer tools, APIs, libraries, or test infrastructure.
• Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, WinAppDriver, or Coded UI.
• Experience with API testing frameworks such as RestAssured, Postman, SoapUI, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, SQL, Git, and web-service technologies.
• Experience integrating automated tests into Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Hands-on exposure to Generative AI, AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, LLM APIs, intelligent test generation, or log and failure analysis using AI.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
