Its systems support both mask shops and fabs by detecting defects early in the process, enabling faster, more reliable production.What You'll Do\nIn this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.\nResponsible for the complete design process, including:\nDrive design from beginning to end including requirements specification, feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, build and release to manufacturing\n\nDevelop and track cost and schedule\n\nGenerate detailed models and drawings, using 3D solid modeling (Creo)\n\nConduct various analysis, such as fluid, thermal, and vibrational, through both hand calcs and FEA modeling\n\nUnderstand and use Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T)\n\nPerform detailed tolerance stack-up analysis\n\nParticipate in and lead design reviews to obtain a peer-oriented design assessment throughout design process\n\nProcure, assemble, and test prototype material\n\nSupport system integration and testing\n\nCreate assembly and test procedures\n\nGenerate documentation and support release and handoff to manufacturing.\n\nDesign challenges may include:\nLow stress and high stability optomechanical & precision mechanism design\n\nDesign for functionality in ultra-clean environments, including in vacuum\n\nPrecision stage and actuation/adjustment design\n\nRequired Skills:\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\n\nMinimum 3 years work experience in 3D solid modeling\n\nMinimum 1 years work experience in FEA, GD&T\n\nStrong background in the design of mechanisms.\n\nBasic understanding of optical subsystems.\n\nFamiliar with manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding fabrication and castings.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nDoctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years\nAbout KLA\nWe provide advanced inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions, and computational analytics that make electronics possible, tackling complex challenges.
