Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. First to deliver the best imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any layer at any time. EBeam’s mission encapsulates its role as the “eyes” of KLA’s product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSuccessful candidate shall be part of the Systems Engineering team that is responsible for development, integration and characterization of systems that include electron sources, detectors, electro-optical components, vacuum, high voltage electronics, signal & image processing and machine control SW.\nHe/ She shall work at our customer site to aid in complex technical problem solving and system development. This would require the candidate to:\nAchieve functional understanding of the system and all sub-system level interactions to perform root cause analysis.\nLiaise between Systems Engineering Team and Customer Support Team (responsible for Product development and Product Maintenance respectively).\nCoordinate with Systems Engineering Team to design multidisciplinary experiments aimed at system troubleshooting, resolving performance problems and optimizing system performance.\nExecute these experiments at customer site which might require scripting, log analysis and data visualization.\nInterpret system modes of error and their impact on system performance and availability.\nRequired Qualifications \nAdvanced Degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Materials and Metallurgical Engineering.\nHands-on experience in experimental or lab environments (research, internships, or industry).\nExperience with machine control and/or scientific data analysis.\nProficiency in scripting (MATLAB, Python, or similar) for data collection, analysis and visualization.\nStrong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to create effective technical presentations.\n70% travel required since the candidate shall work out of business unit in Taiwan.\nPreferred Qualifications \nKnowledge of instrumentation, signal processing, and optical/electro-optical systems (e.g., electron microscopes).\nExposure to vacuum systems, electron optics, and high-voltage systems (SEM or similar).\nExperience supporting prototype systems or advanced lab equipment.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum Qualifications \nDoctorate Degree or Master's Level Degre and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years.\nWe offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
