This is the stretch zone. Come find out what you're capable of.\nAbout the role\nBefore a new Klarna product or feature reaches shoppers in the UK, someone has to be sure it meets UK regulation. This position sits in the Compliance team in our London office. You'll interpret new and changed rules, turn them into guidelines and routines the business can follow, and advise the teams building and running Klarna's products. You'll work independently and prioritise your own workload, while staying closely connected to colleagues and stakeholders in other countries and time zones, mostly remotely. This position is open at Specialist or Manager level, and where we land depends on your experience. A candidate with 2-3 years in financial services would likely join as a Specialist, and one with closer to 6 years would likely join as a Manager.\nWhat you'll do\nYou'll support Compliance colleagues and key business stakeholders in their activities, for example regulatory engagement and preparing regulatory notifications and reports.\n\nYou'll create and update guidelines, policies, and routines within the compliance field.\n\nYou'll monitor UK regulatory developments within Klarna's business areas.\n\nYou'll interpret new and modified regulations and support implementation in the business\n\nYou'll advise the business on all compliance-related matters.\n\nYou'll share knowledge on regulatory requirements and contribute to ongoing competence across Klarna by providing information and training.\n\nYou'll oversee and review Klarna's adherence to UK regulations and ensure good compliance governance within the business.\n\nYou'll identify and mitigate compliance risks and prepare risk analyses.\n\nYou'll take part in development projects for new products and services.\n\nYou'll prepare, implement, and maintain compliance plans.\n\nYou'll prepare and coordinate internal and external reports.\n\nWho you are\nYou've spent 2-6 years working in the financial services sector.\n\nYou're passionate about compliance.\n\nYou write and speak English fluently.\n\nYou prioritise your own work and are comfortable working independently, as well as with colleagues and stakeholders remotely across other countries and time zones.\n\nYou act with integrity.\n\nYou're ambitious, proactive, and action oriented.\n\nYou explain regulatory topics clearly to colleagues and business stakeholders.\n\nBonus points for\nA legal background.\n\nExperience with payment services and systems, or with consumer credit, financing, and lending.\n\nExperience with financial crime risk (including AML/CTF, ABC, and fraud) and/or PSD2 and open banking.\n\nExperience working at a FinTech firm.\n\nSwedish language skills.\n\nThings you should know before applying\nWorking together: we value co-located teams; most teams currently meet in the office 2-3 days per week, and this varies by team and can change over time.\n\nNon-obvious backgrounds are welcome.
