If you like working in a creative, technology-driven, high energy, collaborative, casual environment, and you have strong software development abilities, this is the opportunity for you!\nRemote, work from home opportunity.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain our internal billing workflow platform's VB.NET WinForms desktop application - a critical service in our monthly billing workflow system processing all our monthly client billings before getting invoiced. This is a primary day-to-day responsibility.\n\nWork directly with SQL Server: write and optimize T-SQL, stored procedures, and SQL Server Agent jobs\n\nContribute to the development of new features, system enhancements, and performance optimization initiatives as part of the platform's ongoing in-place modernization effort\n\nContribute to execution of the platform's future migration to a modern web-based architecture, helping implement target architecture (e.g., ASP.NET Core/Blazor) under the guidance of senior engineers and BI leadership.\n\nWrite and maintain automated tests; grow test coverage from its current thin baseline.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and follow the team's established coding standards, style guide, and code-audit protocol\n\nCollaborate with BI, Analyst, Processing, and Submission team stakeholders to translate billing workflow requirements into robust technical solutions\n\nAssist with technical design discussions for both the current system and its future state, under the guidance of senior engineers\n\nLeverage Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.\n\nQualifications\nFluent English communication skills (C1 level or equivalent).\n\n3-5 years of hands-on software development experience\n\nHands-on experience with VB.NET & .NET Framework required; exposure to C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, or Entity Framework Core a plus\n\nHands-on T-SQL and SQL Server experience - database design, query optimization, stored procedures, and SQL Server Agent job scheduling\n\nExperience developing and maintaining WinForms desktop applications, including MDI (multi-document interface) architecture\n\nFamiliarity with Angular a plus\n\nExperience writing and maintaining automated tests (unit/functional/regression) in a .NET environment.\n\nExperience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Pipelines), GitHub and code-quality gating tools (e.g., SonarQube) is a plus\n\nAbility to design, estimate, and deliver well-defined software solutions from business requirements\n\nUnderstanding of financial systems, financial processes, and billing/invoicing terminology is highly desirable\n\nEagerness to grow technical ownership over time, with mentorship and guidance from senior engineers on the team\n\nExperience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools is preferred\n\nWho We Are\nKLDiscovery provides technology-enabled services and software to help law firms, corporations, and government agencies solve complex data challenges.
