Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in structural engineering related to renovation/expansion/rehabilitation.\nIn accordance with pay transparency laws, we are providing a good faith estimate of the salary range for this position. The anticipated salary for this role is $105,000- $175,000, based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Employees may also be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses and benefits. This estimate is subject to change based on business needs and market conditions\nQualified candidates will possess proven skills and demonstrate experience in the following:\n Primary Responsibilities\nStrong restoration experience and in-depth knowledge of rehabilitation and the construction industry\nExperienced with historical construction materials and systems\nProficient in reviewing and interpreting contemporary and historical structural drawings\nCompetent in conducting visual/hands-on assessments and developing condition assessment reports including observations, conclusions, recommendations, prioritization of repair alternatives, and engineer’s opinion of probable costs\nKnowledgeable with various destructive and non-destructive testing methods for concrete, steel, and timber\nCompetent in preparing design drawings and specifications, performing bidding services, and conducting construction phase services including site visits, field reports, project meetings, submittal review, pay app review, and verifying contractor compliance with design intent\nCompetent at performing project management duties, including client coordination, team coordination, and project control (schedule, budget, design, quality, and profitability)\nCompetent at structural analysis by hand calculation and/or computer modeling to verify the capacity of existing structure or design strengthening\nstructural analysis and rehabilitation design of concrete, steel, timber, masonry, and other structural systems\nKnowledgeable in code research and implementation\nCan effectively communicate both in writing and verbally with decision-makers at all levels in an organization and with a diverse range of clients including condo owners/managers/boards, commercial property owners, and owner representatives\nSupports business development efforts, including client relationship building, proposal preparation, fee development, and project interviews/presentations\nParticipates in professional organizations and networking events\nExperienced in providing mentoring and training to junior staff\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in structural/civil/architectural engineering\nMinimum of 12 years of experience in structural engineering related to evaluating and rehabilitating existing structures, primarily concrete\nHold a professional license or have the capacity to acquire a license in the state of Pennsylvania\nTechnically proficient in structural analysis and design of a broad range of construction materials and methods, particularly concrete\nStrong technical communication skills, both verbal and written\nAdept in working with and interpreting structural analytical and design software\nProficient ability in AutoCAD or Revit\nPreferred Skills and Interests\nInterest in contributing to office growth, client development, and long-term firm leadership\nA Master’s degree is preferred\nExperience working with parking garages and concrete repair experience\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift 50 lbs.\nSitting or standing for extended periods\nAble to ride suspended scaffolding and work from
