This position will produce products to include tool bags, leather and canvas pouches, fiber guards, harnesses, etc.\n\nThis position would help support our production facility in Fort Smith, AR during our 1st shift operations, working Monday-Friday from 5:45 AM CST until 4:15 PM CST.\n\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nAlign and position parts against anvil to set rivets in products by pressing foot levers according to schematics.\nRemain alert for in-process product imperfections and bring them to the supervisor's attention.\nMove work within the department after completion.\nSet-up rivet machines.\nExercise safety procedures to prevent injury to oneself and coworkers, and to prevent damage to equipment.\nRead and check off daily safety operation procedures before starting the machine.\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma is preferred, and two (2) years related work experience in a manufacturing environment is required.\nMust possess knowledge of the different types of materials and their characteristics and flaws for quality acceptability.\nMust possess knowledge using hand tools.\nDemonstrate basic math, reading, writing and comprehension skills and strong communication skills.\nAbility to work closely and effectively with all employees and management staff.\n\nPhysical Demand Requirements\nRequired to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
