The ideal candidates will participate in and contribute to a diverse range of engineering projects and services in our team-oriented environment. Under the direction of experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to Industrial & Commercial Land Development, Solar, Mining, and other engineering projects.\nThis position will be based in Raleigh or Charlotte, North Carolina.\nUnder supervision and working with experienced staff, the successful candidates will complete civil engineering designs and the generation of construction plans and specifications, technical calculations, exhibits and reports in the following areas:\nUtilize Civil 3D including alignments, profiles and grading features to produce engineered construction plans and sheet set ups.\nBasic understanding of Site Grading & Storm Drainage, Erosion and Sediment Control and Storm Water Best Management Practices with strong desire to learn and an interest in civil engineering design\nVariety of Civil 3D Plans, maps, and exhibits\nWork in conjunction with civil engineers and project leaders to develop engineering designs \nFollow project schedules and allotted hours by Project manager\nFollow internal and/or client procedures and standards\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAttention to detail, strong problem-solving and good communication skills\nAbility to work as a team player, take direction, and interact well with others\nEvaluating design alternatives to solve constructability, code, and site challenges\nPerforming site visits to perform job scoping and coordinate with survey crews, SUE, Geotech, etc.\nSelf-starter who can work independently and with team members\nPosition Requirements:\nB.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution or acceptable equivalent\n 0-3 years of experience\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate preferred\nBasic knowledge and experience using AutoCAD is required. \nProficiency with Civil 3D is preferred.\nFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.\nMove Forward with Kleinfelder: Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
