We are seeking an entry level Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our environmental team. This person will execute environmental projects under the supervision of a Project Manager with key regional clients.\nSuccessful candidates must have experience in the environmental consulting business and relevant environmental engineering, geology, or hydrogeology experience as described below.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform assignments associated with environmental assessments, audits, permitting, subsurface investigations, remediation, and monitoring projects\nDevelop and prepare work plans, project deliverables, geologic cross sections, and reports\nWork collaboratively with field and office staff, manage task-level activities, lead small teams and mentor in technical capabilities\nCoordinate technical aspects of small to moderate size projects with on-going review and interaction by Project Managers, senior operations, and technical staff\nAssist area business development activities and maintain effective client relations\nUnderstand financial management concepts and effectively prepare scopes of work and fee estimates for new or additional work; and\nHave a track record of high level of competency in environmental consulting to include \nGroundwater and soil sampling\nInstallation of monitoring wells\nPhase I Environmental Site Assessments\nSpill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) preparations and inspections\nAir quality permitting and engineering\nIdentification and evaluation of sensitive receptors\nAuthoring technical reports\nProgressing sites towards regulatory closure\nEnvironmental data collection, interpretation, analytical data validation and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)\nObservation and documentation in support of scientific investigations and engineered solutions. \nRequirements:\nMinimum of 0-3 years of experience in the environmental consulting business with demonstrated experience in investigation, remediation and monitoring, environmental permitting and general environmental compliance including environmental audits and stormwater.\nThe successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:\nBachelor's Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related field of study\nExperience and demonstrated success working with large, private and public sector clients \nExperience interacting with clients, functioning on cross-disciplinary teams, supervising field staff, and supervising subcontractors\nExperience in client relationship development and preparation of proposals and cost estimates\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective technical presentations and deliver high quality written work products\nAbility to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner\nDemonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously\nWorking knowledge of and proficiency with environmental regulations, regulatory organizations, and environmental permitting requirements\nProficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint \nFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.\nMove Forward with Kleinfelder: Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
