This role can be in our Austin, San Antonio or Houston office.\nAs an entry-level EIT, you will support a variety of water resources projects-including hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater systems, and water quality best management practices (BMPs). You will gain hands-on experience in planning, analysis, and design in a water resource context while working closely with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams. You will use industry-standard software such as ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, and InfoWorks ICM to deliver innovative solutions that protect and enhance the communities we serve.\nJob Responsibilities:\nAssist project professionals with analysis, design, and technical tasks across multiple water resources projects.\nAsk questions and seek knowledge from team members to apply the best approach and parameter selections.\nSeek direction on deadlines and time allotted for completion of tasks.\nDevelop an understanding of the effort required and reasoning for use of differing approaches.\nParticipate in peer reviews as a fundamental commitment to quality work by working with other team members to review interim work product and identify issues before proceeding to the next step.\nAbility to track and complete concurrent tasks while maintaining attention to detail and meeting assigned deadlines.\nAdhere to company policies, safety standards, and ethical practices.\nStay current in understanding the practice of engineering by completing continuing education and professional development.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.\nPassing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam (or ability to pass in first six months of employment).\nPreferred Skills/Experience:\nStrong communication skills.\nEagerness for collaboration in a team setting.\nEnthusiasm for learning and contributing to a team-oriented environment.\nFamiliarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as ArcGIS Pro, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, or EPA SWMM a plus but not required.\nFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.\nMove Forward with Kleinfelder: Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
