From environmental planning, permitting, remediation, and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology, Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.\nStep Into Your New Role\nKleinfelder is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Environmental Permitting and Planning (EP&P) Team in our Tampa, Florida office.\nThe successful candidate should be a self-starter who can provide project management and technical support to ecology and environmental permitting projects and proposals. The candidate will be responsible for proposing, planning, executing and managing projects of varying complexity with multidisciplinary teams. The position requires strong collaboration skills, project management, and client engagement in support of our Clients in the Southeast, as well as experience with proposal preparation (scoping and pricing).\nThis position provides a great career-growth opportunity for an energetic person who can effectively manage environmental projects across mining, energy and other sectors.\nThis position is anticipated to be 70% office work/30% field work. Some travel (local/overnight) may be anticipated.\nThe ideal candidate should demonstrate:\nIndependent thinker and a self-starter, able to work independently when needed.\nEffective communication skills.\nExcellent teamwork and leadership skills, as well as ability to effectively manage a team.\nAbility to effectively engage directly with staff and leadership. \nStrong experience working with state and federal regulations, including all steps of design, submittal, and regulatory interface associated with permits under:\nFlorida Department of Environmental Protection,\nFlorida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission,\nState of Florida’s water management districts,\nU.S. Army Corps of Engineers,\nU.S. Environmental Protection Agency and\nU.S. Fish and Wildlife Service\nStrong technical writing and QA/QC skills\nAbility to effectively manage and deliver proposals and reports.\nAll candidates require:\nBachelor degree in Biology, Ecological Science, Environmental Policy, Geology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred;\nMinimum 6 years of related experience, including 3-4 years project related experience and knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.\nApplicable experience in the Florida and knowledge of Florida’s threatened and endangered species, ecosystems, and vegetation preferred.\nCandidate will be required to go through and obtain an MSHA New Miner Training certificate as part of on-the-job training, in addition to other relevant safety and service line training as required.
