Location is very flexible.\nThe successful candidate will be an experienced Project Manager looking to lead a team of staff performing geotechnical investigations, geohazard assessments, engineering design and construction observation activities for a variety of infrastructure projects. This position provides a great career-growth opportunity for an entrepreneurially-minded and energetic person who can effectively collaborate with teammates and Clients.\nThe ideal candidate will:\nManage a portfolio of projects meeting client and company requirements for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.\nHave experience with developing business pursuits and solid client relationships.\nCoordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external clients to understand their needs.\nBe an effective leader of a geotechnical group and project teams. \nMentor and manage junior staff and project level geotechnical professionals through project performance.\nDevelop appropriate scopes for geotechnical field and office tasks.\nCoordinate and manage small to large size multi-disciplined projects with guidance and support from senior operations/technical staff.\nSafely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis, and technical activities.\nPrepare or review geotechnical designs, reports, and calculations as needed on projects. \nStrong analytical skills are required in areas including:\nSoil and rock classification,\nSlope stability analysis,\nEarth retention systems,\nShallow and deep foundation design,\nConstruction support\nSoil improvement techniques\nEducation, Experience, and General Skills:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Geological, or Mining) or Geology \nMaster's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field a plus.\n5+ years of related experience.\nEngineer/Geologist in Training (EIT/GIT) license; PE or PG license preferred\nMust have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.\nAbility to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPosition will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized, and have a keen sense of detail.\nFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.\nMove Forward with Kleinfelder: Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
