Kleinfelder offices are supporting major transportation, oil and gas, power and water projects in Oklahoma and other locations nationally. This position will collaborate with the regional leaders in client selection and development, staff mentoring and ensuring delivery of industry-specific solutions to our clients.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating services with internal and external teams. As part of the assigned duties, the Geotechnical Project Engineer will perform geotechnical engineering design, project proposal and management duties with integrity and a drive to succeed. The successful candidate will be required to ensure high client service by providing constructible designs, meeting deadlines and creating clear communications with our clients.\nThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:\nHave excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams\nHave experience planning, implementing, and managing geotechnical exploration programs including assigning laboratory testing\nHave experience guiding staff engineers in performing material and site characterization, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses, etc.\nHave experience preparing geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications for foundations and earthwork for a wide range of projects including transportation, water, retail, hospitality, commercial, etc.\nHave experience supporting project managers in budget management, client updates, and general project management tasks\nHave experience preparing and presenting technical presentations to clients and technical review boards\nHave experience supervising field observation, testing, and performing site visits\nBe able to pro-actively troubleshoot and problem-solve with practical, client-focused solutions\nHave experience leading teams and professionally develop staff at all levels\nBe able to interface with the civil design team to develop and value-engineer practical, fit-for-use geotechnical engineering solutions\nHave experience assisting project managers and business leadership with developing strategic pursuits and geotechnical proposals\nBe able to organize priorities and multi-task effectively\nBe able to collaborate with Regional leadership and Project Managers to resource delivery effectively\nHave experience being externally focused to grow client relationships and develop business through the work\nPossess a thirst to learn and achieve continuous improvement in a team environment\nResponsibilities:\nReview field logs, soil/rock samples, and assign laboratory testing\nReview lab results, and perform geotechnical analysis\nPerform pavement design\nPrepare engineering reports\nRequirements\nCandidates are required to have a minimum of 4 years of related experience.\nProven experience in geotechnical design, slope stability, design of shallow, mat, and deep foundations, design of retaining walls, and large earthmoving projects.\nProven experience in leading diverse project teams.\nProven experience in capturing business development opportunities and preparing proposals.\nBS degree in civil engineering and MS degree with geotechnical emphasis preferred\nProfessional Engineering license required and/or ability to obtain Oklahoma PE license within 6 months of hiring.\nPositive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks\nAbility to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nIntermediate knowledge of MS Office, Including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred\nAn ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, supervisors, clients, subcontractors and regulators.\nFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.\nMove Forward with Kleinfelder: Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
