This hybrid role is available in our Mechanincsburg, PA office, offering significant career growth opportunities for the right individuals.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject Design and Execution: Perform detailed design work for highway and transportation projects, including intersections, road widenings, interchanges, and smaller enhancements.\nTechnical Development: Prepare engineering documents for project advertisements and construction, ensuring compliance with applicable design criteria and regulatory standards\nEngineering Analysis: Conduct design calculations, technical analysis, and produce project specifications for transportation infrastructure.\nCollaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and sub-consultants to ensure design alignment and compliance with project requirements.\nBudgeting and Scheduling: Assist with project budgeting, cost estimates, and schedule tracking to support project efficiency and financial management.\nSite Assessments: Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and ensure design accuracy, providing technical support throughout the construction phase.\nConstruction Support: Address design-related questions or issues that arise during project execution, ensuring smooth implementation of engineering plans.\nClient Interaction: Travel occasionally to project or client sites for meetings, site assessments, and project-related tasks.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited program.\n6+ years of experience in highway and transportation design.\nRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.\nStrong hands-on experience with roadway, intersection, and interchange projects.\nPennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) design experience preferred.\nProficiency in design and plan preparation using MicroStation and related software.\nKnowledge of Federal, State, and local jurisdiction permitting regulations.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and regulatory agencies.\nValid driver’s license with a safe driving record.\nFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.\nMove Forward with Kleinfelder: Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
