From construction management and observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.\nStep into Your New Role!\nKleinfelder's Seattle Area is seeking experienced Office Engineers for projects throughout Seattle and surrounding areas.If selected, you would support road and highway improvement projects with a hybrid work schedule.\nThe Office Engineer will provide engineering and administrative support to help ensure project success through quality documentation, effective communication, and proactive coordination.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPrepare construction change orders and supporting documentation, including independent cost estimates and memoranda.\nLog, review, track, and respond to RFIs and submittals.\nDraft and manage project correspondence, including letters to contractors and project stakeholders.\nPrepare and review monthly quantity sheets (Q-sheets) and assist with progress estimates.\nAttend and document project meetings, including preparing agendas and meeting minutes.\nReview and track contractor progress schedules.\nMaintain project records, including monthly estimates and weekly project status reports.\nPerform constructability reviews of transportation projects.\nRequired Skills and Experience:\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience in office engineering on transportation or major public works projects. 4+ years experience is preferred.\nExperience preparing WASHDOT contract change orders.\nKnowledge of WASHDOT standard plans, specifications, procedures, and Construction Manual.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent organizational and recordkeeping abilities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).\nSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment.\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or California PE license (a plus).\nFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.\nMove Forward with Kleinfelder: Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
