The Pipeline Project Engineer develops and applies broad knowledge and skills in various natural gas workstreams, independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform pipeline projects. Projects range in size and complexity from small to large, including both distribution and transmission type projects. The Pipeline Project Engineer acquires general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields and can function as a member or Lead of multidisciplinary teams. This is a hybrid work schedule!\nConsideration for an Engineer position requires the following certifications or experience:\nBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering \n6-10 years relevant experience \nPE is Preferred.\nWorking knowledge of CAD and GIS software \nTechnical communication \nProficient use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint \nUtility business understanding \nValid Driver's license \nKnowledge of Code of Federal Regulations Title 42 Part 192 \nAs a Pipeline Project Engineer with Kleinfelder, you will be expected to:\nPrepare pipeline designs, including calculations, drawings, profiles, details, layouts, and studies from field inspections, preliminary sketches, specifications, and instructions requiring knowledge of engineering practices and shop and field procedures \nPrepare pipeline and facility designs, including thereview of designs and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and design criteria \nAcquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods \nGas system network and hydraulic analysis \nConstruction specification and bid package preparation \nPipeline design and material selection \nAlternative/Feasibility studies \nDevelop status reports with task completion, progress, challenges, and solutions \nWork closely with other workgroups at our clients' place of business and Kleinfelder offices \nCoordinate various inspection and testing methods, gather data, analyze, and report findings \nCoordinate and project management of internal resources and subcontractors \nDemonstrate sound engineering judgment \nAssign tasks to and coordinate with drafting and administrative staff \nAssign tasks to and coordinate work of Associate Engineers and technicians or administrative staff within team \nProvide guidance, instruction, and coaching to entry-level and other Engineers \nAssist in determining schedule & budget requirements \nSupport business development and marketing initiatives \nFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.\nMove Forward with Kleinfelder: Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
