This hybrid role is available in our , Sewickley, PA office, offering significant career growth opportunities for the right individuals.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject Leadership: Lead and manage the design of highway and transportation structures, such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and exceeding client expectations.\nTechnical Direction: Provide expert technical guidance to project teams, overseeing structural design efforts, including developing calculations, specifications, and plans, while ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.\nProject Delivery: Oversee project scheduling, cost management, and resource allocation, ensuring the successful completion of transportation infrastructure projects.\nClient Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering long-term partnerships and expanding our market share throughout Pennsylvania.\nTeam Leadership and Development: Mentor and support the professional growth of junior engineers, guiding them in their technical and career development while ensuring the quality and accuracy of all deliverables.\nBusiness Development: Contribute to proposal presentations and scoping activities, identifying new business opportunities and expanding the range of services offered to clients.\nCross-disciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, bridge engineers, environmental professionals, water engineers, geotechnical experts, survey teams, and traffic engineers to complete multi-disciplinary project deliverables.\nThought Leadership: Contribute to industry technical conferences, committees, and internal development programs. Serve as a design lead and technical advisor for junior engineers and CAD staff.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited program.\n10+ years of experience in structural or highway and transportation design.\nRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) required.\nProven experience leading design teams and managing complex projects.\nAbility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interactions.\nIn-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and local jurisdiction permitting regulations.\nProficiency in MicroStation and MS Office Suite.\nValid driver's license with a safe driving record.\nFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.\nMove Forward with Kleinfelder\nKleinfelder has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
