Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software features and functionalities.
• Write clean, well-documented, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to define technical solutions and system design.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in the identification and implementation of new technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.
• Automate testing processes and write unit tests.
• Stay up to date with the latest software development trends and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-4 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e. g., Java, Python, Golang).
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e. g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with version control systems (e. g., Git).
• Experience with building APIs and integration with other systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for learning and staying up to date with the latest technologies.

Good to Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e. g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e. g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in performance optimisation techniques.
• Bonus Points: Experience working with a Bank or Fintech knowledge.
