Full Stack Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Build end-to-end features using Python (Flask/FastAPI), relational databases, and React.
• Design secure, versioned REST APIs: request/response models, validation, error handling, pagination, OpenAPI docs.
• Build interactive front-end workflows: multi-period data-entry grids, multi-tab forms, editable/dynamic tables, computed columns, client-side validation, and results dashboards.
• Design reusable React components and manage state (hooks, Context, Redux, Zustand, React Query); handle API integration, caching, loading states, optimistic updates, and error handling.
• Develop server-side workflows for maker-checker approvals, versioned parameters/reference data, configuration management, and audit logging.
• Integrate with calculation engines, data pipelines, and external systems via clear API/data contracts.
• Implement authentication (SSO, LDAP, OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect) and RBAC with row-level data scoping by user, region, customer, or business unit.
• Generate/process Excel and CSV (openpyxl, pandas) for imports, validation templates, reports, and exports.
• Design and maintain database schemas, migrations, indexes, constraints, and query patterns; implement background/long-running tasks (Celery, RQ, or equivalent) where needed.
• Write unit, integration, API, UI, and end-to-end tests; optimise front-end rendering, API response times, and query performance.
• Implement structured logging, monitoring, error tracking, health checks, and diagnostics; support deployment, CI/CD, environment config, web-server setup, and production troubleshooting.
• Participate in architecture/code reviews, release planning, and documentation.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years building production-grade full-stack web applications.
• Strong Python with Flask, FastAPI, or Django; solid REST/HTTP/JSON, authentication, authorisation, and API versioning.
• Strong React with JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, HTML, CSS hooks and reusable components; state management (Redux, Zustand, Context, React Query); Next.js, Vite, or Webpack; UI libraries (Material UI); data grids (AG Grid, TanStack Table).
• Strong SQL and relational modelling; hands-on PostgreSQL and Microsoft
• Experience with SQL Server; migrations, indexing, query optimisation, transactions, and concurrency.
• Experience with form-heavy, workflow-driven, calculation-intensive apps and server- and client-side validation.
• Automated testing: pytest, unittest, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress.
• Knowledge of Git (branching, PRs, code reviews) and CI/CD with environment-based config.
• Secure coding: OWASP risks, input sanitisation, secrets management, and protection against common web vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency in Modular, maintainable, testable, well-documented code.

Preferred Skills:

• Banking / financial-services apps (pricing, risk, regulatory reporting, reconciliation, financial calculations) where accuracy and reproducibility are critical.
• Maker-checker workflows, approval hierarchies, audit trails, effective-dated configuration.
• SSO, LDAP, OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect, JWT, enterprise identity providers; row-level security and multi-tenant/business-unit data segregation.
• Redis, caching, session management, distributed locking; Celery, message queues, async/scheduled background jobs.
• Excel automation, file validation, template-driven report generation.
• Docker and containerised deployments; AWS or other cloud platforms; Apache, Nginx, Windows Server, Linux hosting and reverse-proxy config.
• Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Sentry, OpenTelemetry); WebSockets / server-sent events for real-time updates.
• API contract testing and schema validation (OpenAPI, Pydantic, JSON Schema); accessibility, responsive design, browser compatibility, and front-end performance.
