Sr. DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline code integration, testing, and deployment across various environments.
• Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee and enhance cloud environments (e. g., AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for automated setup, scaling, and management of IT resources.
• Automate Processes: Develop and implement solutions to automate software deployment, configuration management, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Ensure System Reliability: Create and maintain monitoring systems to ensure high availability and performance of applications, and lead incident management and response efforts.
• Optimise Performance and Cost: Conduct system troubleshooting and problem-solving to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve overall system performance and scalability, and reduce costs.
• Lead and Mentor: Guide junior engineers, foster a collaborative DevOps culture, and train teams on new technologies and best practices.
• Architecture and Design: Participate in planning and architecture discussions for on-prem and cloud deployments, designing efficient and scalable solutions.

Requirements:

• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of CI/CD tools, cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and configuration management tools (GitOps, ArgoCD).
• Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash for automating workflows and enhancing development processes.
• Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e. g., Prometheus, Grafana) for system observability and performance analysis.
• Collaboration and Communication: Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with development and operations teams.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Leadership: Ability to lead initiatives, mentor junior team members, and drive the adoption of DevOps practices.
