The tech lead will work closely with architects, product managers, security researchers, and engineering teams to build a highly scalable, secure, cloud-native platform capable of processing large volumes of security telemetry and delivering real-time detection, investigation, and response capabilities. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on software engineering experience, a cloud-first mindset, and a solid understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, CI/CD, deployment, and release management.\nThe core responsibilities for the job include the following:\nTechnical Leadership and Architecture:\nLead the design and development of scalable cybersecurity SaaS platforms.\nDefine technical solutions and participate in architecture and design decisions.\nTranslate product requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.\nDrive engineering best practices around performance, reliability, scalability, security, and observability.\nConduct architecture/design reviews and code reviews.\nIdentify technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks and drive their resolution.\nMentor and guide engineers and establish strong engineering practices.\nCybersecurity Platform Development:\nStrong understanding of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).\nExperience or understanding of EDR and XDR platforms.\nSecurity analytics and threat detection.\nSecurity event/log management.\nThreat intelligence and alert management.\nAlert correlation and incident investigation.\nDetection rules, analytics, and automated security response.\nExperience building cybersecurity products or security platforms is highly preferred.\nCloud-First Development:\nStrong hands-on experience designing and developing applications using AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.\nCloud-native architecture and services, including compute, containers, serverless, storage, and managed databases;\nMessaging, API management, IAM, networking, security, monitoring, and auto-scaling.\nExperience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms is a strong advantage.\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation.\nData and Security Analytics:\nExperience working with high-volume security data and distributed systems.\nStreaming and event-driven architectures.\nKafka or similar messaging systems.\nDistributed data processing and data lake/lakehouse architectures.\nSearch and analytics platforms.\nSQL and NoSQL databases.\nReal-time analytics, log ingestion, and data retention/lifecycle management.\nExperience handling large-scale security telemetry / high-EPS environments is highly desirable.\nSoftware Development Lifecycle:\nOwn and contribute to requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, CI/CD, deployment,\nproduction validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.\nEstablish engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, security, and maintainability.\nDrive unit, integration, security, and performance testing practices.\nRelease and Deployment Management:\nDrive release planning and coordination across development, staging, and production environments.\nManage versioning, branching/merging strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.\nEnsure environment readiness, release validation, rollback strategies, production deployment, and post-release monitoring.\nManage hotfixes, patches, change management, and production releases.\nExperience with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms is preferred.\nDevSecOps and Security:\nIntegrate security into the software development lifecycle.\nImplement secure coding and development practices.\nSupport vulnerability and dependency management.\nImplement SAST, DAST, SCA, container, and infrastructure security scanning.\nEnsure secure secrets and configuration management.\nPromote DevSecOps and shift-left security practices.\nTeam Leadership:\nLead and mentor a team of software engineers.\nBreak down complex requirements into technical tasks.\nProvide technical guidance and review designs and implementations.\nDrive engineering quality and delivery commitments.\nCollaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Architecture teams.\nParticipate in technical interviews and help build the engineering team.\nRequirements:\nStrong software engineering and system design skills.\nStrong knowledge of distributed systems and microservices.\nExperience building scalable SaaS applications.\nStrong programming experience in one or more of Java, Go, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript.\nStrong REST API and event-driven architecture knowledge.\nStrong SQL and database fundamentals.\nExperience with Git and modern development practices.\nStrong AWS and/or Azure experience.\nKubernetes / Docker and cloud-native application development.\nCI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation, and production troubleshooting.\nCybersecurity Knowledge: SIEM, EDR / XDR, SOC operations, security event processing, threat detection, alert correlation, incident response, threat intelligence, and security analytics.\nKnowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.\nGood to Have:\nExperience building a commercial cybersecurity SaaS product.\nExperience with high-scale security data ingestion and analytics.\nExperience with multi-tenant architectures.\nExperience with Kafka, Flink, Spark, Trino, ClickHouse, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, or similar technologies.\nExperience with AI/ML-based security analytics or AI-based SOC automation.\nExperience with SOAR / automated security response.\nKnowledge of Zero Trust architecture.\nExperience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar compliance frameworks.\nExperience with 24x7 production systems and incident management.\nLeadership Expectations:\nThe candidate should operate at both technical and leadership levels and be comfortable owning the complete engineering lifecycle: product requirements, architecture, design, development, testing, CI/CD, release, production observability, and continuous improvement.\nThe tech lead is expected to be a hands-on technical leader, not only a people manager, and should be comfortable solving complex engineering and production problems.\nPreferred Profile:\n8-12+ years of software engineering experience.\n3+ years in a technical leadership role.\nStrong experience with cloud-native SaaS platforms.\nStrong AWS/Azure knowledge.\nExperience with cybersecurity products such as SIEM, EDR, XDR, SOAR, or security analytics.\nStrong system design and distributed systems expertise.\nStrong ownership, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced product engineering
