We’re looking for people who are curious about or fluid with AI, open to change, and excited to learn how technology can improve the way we work and help our customers which is always supported by strong human insight and communication.\nWe are looking for a forward-thinking QA Automation Engineer with strong Playwright experience and practical skills in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to accelerate software testing.\nAt Klipboard, we are evolving how we develop and deliver software, embracing AI-assisted engineering, automated testing and Continuous Delivery to improve quality and increase delivery velocity.\nThe successful candidate will be comfortable using modern AI development tools to generate, refine and maintain automated tests for complex web applications. They will combine sound testing principles with an engineering mindset, ensuring that automation provides meaningful validation of product functionality and customer workflows.\nThis role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys exploring new technologies, challenging traditional testing approaches and finding more efficient ways to deliver high-quality software.\nKey Responsibilities: \n1. Automated Testing and Quality Engineering\nDesign, develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Microsoft Playwright.\nBuild reliable automated test coverage for modern web applications, including complex user journeys and business workflows.\nDevelop maintainable test suites using TypeScript or JavaScript.\nApply risk-based testing principles to prioritise automation where it provides the greatest value.\nIdentify defects, investigate failures and provide clear, actionable feedback to engineering teams.\nEnsure tests are reliable, repeatable and suitable for execution within CI/CD pipelines.\n2. AI-Assisted Test Development\nUse AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude or Codex to accelerate automated test development.\nGenerate Playwright tests from requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and existing application behaviour.\nUse AI-assisted browser exploration and code analysis to identify test scenarios and potential gaps in coverage.\nApply effective prompt engineering techniques to generate, refine and maintain test automation.\nReview and validate AI-generated tests to ensure they accurately reflect expected application behaviour.\nExperiment with AI-enabled testing approaches to improve productivity, test quality and maintainability.\nShare successful AI techniques and practices with other QA and Engineering colleagues.\n3. Continuous Integration and Delivery\nIntegrate automated tests into Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD pipelines.\nSupport automated validation of software changes through pull requests and deployment workflows.\nWork towards providing rapid, reliable feedback to developers on the quality of their changes.\nInvestigate and reduce flaky tests, unreliable execution and unnecessary maintenance overhead.\nSupport the engineering team's progression towards Continuous Delivery through effective automation.\n4. Collaboration and Product Understanding\nWork closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers and other QA colleagues to understand requirements and expected behaviour.\nDevelop a sound understanding of the product, its business processes and the customer workflows it supports.\nParticipate in refinement, planning, estimation and retrospectives.\nContribute to discussions on testability, quality risks and opportunities to improve software design.\nCommunicate progress, blockers and quality concerns clearly and constructively.\n5.
