This allows our professionals to challenge themselves while gaining valuable engineering and project management experience on fascinating projects.\n\nKCB has opportunities for Geotechnical Engineers to join our integrated and multi-disciplinary team, based in Brisbane. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale, world-class mining projects including the design and construction of tailings residue and waste storage facilities, water management structures (for example spillways, diversion channels, pipelines, etc.) and other associated infrastructure for the Mining and Energy Resources Sector.\n\nThis role will provide you with interesting technical challenges and the opportunity to work closely with other talented professionals committed to delivering high quality engineering and geoscience services. \n\nThis role will give you the opportunity to: \nPlan, coordinate, supervise, interpret and report on field investigation programs including desktop reviews, field mapping, test pitting, drilling, sampling and testing;\nPerform analysis and design of mine waste management facilities including modelling using software packages such as GeoStudio, Rocscience, MUK3D, AutoCAD, etc. and in-house analytical tools;\nPrepare engineering reports, drawings, specifications, presentations and bills of quantities using MS Office software and AutoCAD;\nConduct monitoring and supervision of bulk earthworks construction for quality assurance and providing on-the-ground design advice to clients and contractors; and\nSupport project management and client management duties for projects as required.\n\nAttributes & Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field;\nCPEng / RPEQ certification or eligibility to apply within 12 months of joining;\nDemonstrated experience in planning, investigation, assessment, design and construction of tailings and water dams and waste storage;\nFamiliarity with ANCOLD/ICOLD/GISTM/CDA guidelines and standards;\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills;\nProficiency in geotechnical software and tools;\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills;\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team; and\nAttention to detail and strong organizational skills.\n\nWe value your:\nStrong initiative, innovation, and commitment to technical excellence as well as your enthusiasm and drive toward long-term success.\nEnthusiasm to learn and increase your technical skills and professional experience.\nAbility to work autonomously or within a project team with like-minded professionals in offices around Australia and overseas.\nSuperior verbal and written communication skills including your experience in writing proposals, technical reports, and general project correspondence.\nExceptional team spirit, interpersonal skills and your ability to build long-term, successful relationships with our clients and our project teams.\nAbility to develop and grow relationships with a variety of clients.\n\nWhat we offer in addition to an exciting role:\nAttractive salary package - $80,000 - $120,000 dependent on experience.\nAdditional Superannuation: 2.5% extra to secure your future.\nIncome Protection Insurance: Peace of mind for you and your family.\nParental and Volunteer Leave: Support for your personal and community commitments.\nNovated Leasing: Flexible vehicle leasing options.\nHybrid Working Policy: Balance work and life with our flexible approach.\nSocial and Mental Well-being Initiatives: Programs to support your overall well-being.\nTraining and Development Opportunities: Continuous growth and learning.\nAdditional incentives may be available dependent on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.\nThis role offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.\n\nAre you up to the challenge?
