Specializing in commercial HVAC and plumbing solutions, our client delivers new construction, renovation, and complex design-build projects across the hospitality, education, and light commercial sectors. Known for operational stability, quality craftsmanship, and exceptional employee retention, they are looking to add an experienced HVAC Estimator to their team.\nPosition Overview\nThe HVAC Estimator will drive the estimation process for commercial HVAC projects valued between $1M and $10M. This hands-on, technical role requires expertise in digital takeoffs, blueprint interpretation, bid preparation, and cost analysis.\nKey Responsibilities\nCommercial Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for new construction, renovation, and design-build projects.\n\nTakeoffs & Blueprint Analysis: Perform detailed labor and material takeoffs for ductwork, sheet metal, hydronic piping, commercial plumbing, and HVAC systems.\n\nProposal & Bid Management: Manage the full estimating lifecycle, including pre-bid reviews, vendor quote comparisons, and final proposal submission.\n\nVendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Evaluate supplier pricing and subcontractor bids to support competitive project pricing.\n\nDigital Tools: Utilize digital takeoff and estimating software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Buildertrend, and related platforms.\n\nQualifications & Requirements\nExperience: Minimum of 5+ years estimating commercial HVAC new construction and renovation projects.\n\nTechnical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems (ductwork, sheet metal, hydronic piping) and blueprint interpretation.\n\nSoftware Proficiency: Hands-on experience with electronic takeoff and estimating tools.\n\nSkills: Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication abilities.\n\nGeneral Requirements: Valid driver’s license with an insurable record;
