Built on a foundation of safety and operational excellence, we deliver time- and cost-saving solutions through a modern fleet and a highly skilled team of professionals.\nAt KLS, we value people who Help First, stay Hungry, are Willing to Learn, and remain Committed to doing the job right.\nWhat You’ll Do\nProject Leadership & Delivery\nLead projects from award through completion, ensuring successful execution of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.\nCoordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, municipalities, utility providers, regulatory authorities, and internal teams.\nDevelop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules, including short-term and look-ahead planning.\nFacilitate project handover meetings and ensure project teams are aligned on scope, objectives, and contract requirements.\nManage project closeout activities, including deficiency resolution, documentation, and client turnover.\nFinancial & Contract Management\nMonitor project costs, productivity, and forecasting to support profitability targets.\nReview, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.\nIdentify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.\nSupport change management, progress billing, and contract administration activities.\nClient & Stakeholder Management\nBuild and maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and municipal representatives.\nLead project communications and provide timely updates to stakeholders.\nProactively address project challenges and implement solutions that support project success and client satisfaction.\nSafety & Risk Management\nPromote and support KLS's commitment to safety excellence.\nIdentify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies.\nEnsure project execution aligns with company policies, contract requirements, and regulatory standards.\nQualifications\nRequired\nMinimum 5 years of project management experience in earthworks, civil construction, or underground utility projects.\nStrong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.\nProven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\nValid Class 5 Driver's License.\nPreferred\nExperience obtaining City of Calgary permits, approvals, and indemnifications.\nExperience coordinating temporary utility shutdowns and public notifications.\nExperience with HeavyBid, HeavyJob, Vista Viewpoint, or similar construction management software.\nDiploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related field.\nWhat we are Offering\nCompetitive salary based on experience and qualifications\nComprehensive benefits package starting on Day 1\nProfessional development and training opportunities\nCareer advancement opportunities within a growing civil construction company\nCollaborative and supportive team environment\nThe opportunity to lead impactful infrastructure projects that shape our communities\nA strong safety-first culture where employees are valued and supported\nKLS Earthworks Inc. is committed to creating a safe and inclusive workplace.
