This role is instrumental in overseeing product lifecycle from conceptualization to implementation, including maintenance of the Bill of Materials, managing Engineering Change Orders, and developing new features aligned with the product roadmap.\nOn top of your salary, here are the exciting benefits you can look forward to:\nOpportunity to work on cutting-edge control systems for utility-scale renewable energy projects.\nRole based in the Philippines with a regular overlap with US working hours, providing global exposure without the need for travel.\nChance to influence major project outcomes by integrating field feedback into product enhancements, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.\nSignificant role in maintaining alignment with strategic objectives while also directly supporting active projects (10-20% of the time).\nThe main responsibilities of a PRODUCT ENGINEER, CONTROL SYSTEMS include:\nMaintain and ensure accuracy of the plant controls product Bill of Materials (BOM), including updates and revisions aligned with released product versions.\nAdminister the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process from intake to documentation and communication, ensuring changes are traceable and aligned with product versions.\nDevelop requirements for new features and enhancements, design and implement control logic, and test new features in various environments.\nManage the controls product development Jira board, ensuring alignment with the roadmap and resource availability.\nCollaborate actively with Project Controls Engineers and other stakeholders to integrate field feedback and lessons learned into the product.\nProvide project support to the Project Controls team, balancing project demands with roadmap commitments.\nTo apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Control Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.\nAt least 3 years of experience in IEC 61131-3/PLC programming, preferably in Codesys or AcSELerator environments.\nMinimum of 2 years experience in utility-scale renewable power plant controls.\nProven capability in BOM management, engineering change control, and configuration management.\nProficiency in managing development backlogs in Jira or similar tools within a roadmap-driven environment.\nStrong attention to detail and documentation skills are mandatory.\nIt will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:\nExperience working with distributed teams across different time zones.\nTechnical proficiency in industrial protocols such as Modbus-TCP, DNP3, OPC-UA, etc., and a solid understanding of grid functionality.\nFamiliarity with Utility/ISO testing and interconnection requirements.\nExperience with Power Plant Controller (PPC) design and configuration and proficiency with version control systems like Git/Bitbucket.\nKnowledge of PSCAD, PSSE, and HIL platforms is a valuable plus.\nEngineering -
