leaves\nThe main responsibilities of a SENIOR PROJECT ACCOUNTANT include:\nMonth-End Close & Financial Reporting\nLead revenue recognition and cost of sales (COS) accrual processes in accordance with company policy and ASC 606\nPrepare and post journal entries for accrued revenue, deferred revenue, WIP, and COS accruals\nPerform monthly reconciliations of revenue, AR, and related balance sheet accounts\nSupport preparation of monthly financial reports, including revenue and margin analysis\nAssist in financial statement close processes and provide variance explanations to management\nTake ownership of ad hoc accounting projects and cross-functional initiatives\nAccounts Receivable Management\nOversee end-to-end billing process, including milestone and progress billings\nManage customer invoicing, lien waivers, and supporting documentation\nMonitor AR aging and lead collection efforts to improve cash flow\nResolve billing discrepancies in coordination with Project Managers and allocation, and variable consideration\nMonitor long-term project progress, milestone completions, and cost-to-completion metrics to accurately calculate revenue and manage unbilled/deferred balances\nLead revenue and deferred revenue close activities, including journal entries, contract asset reconciliations, and variance analysis\nPrepare and maintain revenue recognition memos, contract abstracts, and supporting schedules for audit\nPartner with FP&A, Sales, and Project Delivery on revenue forecasting\nMaintain and improve revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls\nServe as the primary point of contact for revenue-related external audit requests\nPeople Management\nManage and develop a small team of project accountants\nReview the team's work for technical accuracy and set priorities during close\nHelp build documented processes and training as the team and company scale\nSystems & Process Improvement\nIdentify and drive automation opportunities in the revenue close process - including WIP and percentage-of-completion calculations - across ERP and billing systems\nPartner with Accounting and Finance leadership on system implementations or upgrades touching revenue\nTo apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:\nDegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\n4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, with direct exposure to project-based revenue or contract accounting\nHands-on experience with construction/EPC or project-based revenue accounting (percentage-of-completion, milestone billing, change orders)\nHands-on experience with SaaS or software revenue accounting (subscription models, usage-based billing, multi-element arrangements)\nProven ability to manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, contract variations, and unpriced change orders\nStrong working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606, with demonstrated experience applying both in practice\nProficiency with NetSuite or specialized project billing software\nExcellent communication skills\nHigh attention to detail and comfort operating in a fast-growing, still-scaling environment\nIt will also be favorable if you are
