This is an execution-focused role for a self-driven individual contributor who is passionate about software quality and enjoys being directly involved in testing activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating business functionality, executing manual and automated testing, identifying defects, ensuring production readiness, and continuously improving product quality across Cargo's digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in software quality assurance, strong automation testing skills, and practical experience using AI-powered testing tools.\n\nThe core responsibilities for the job include the following:\n\nHands-On Test Execution: \nIndependently execute day-to-day testing activities across multiple digital products and initiatives.\nDesign, create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.\nConduct functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.\nValidate feature releases, enhancements, configurations, and defect fixes.\nReproduce, document, and verify issues identified by users, business teams, or production support teams.\nEnsure business requirements are fully tested before release.\n\nQuality Assurance and Delivery: \nDefine test strategies and test plans for projects and sprint deliverables.\nParticipate actively in backlog grooming, sprint planning, story refinement, demos, and retrospectives.\nReview requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure completeness and testability.\nIdentify quality risks early and recommend mitigation actions.\nEnsure quality gates are met prior to production deployment.\nSupport production validation activities following releases.\n\nBusiness Process Testing: \nValidate business workflows across Cargo digital products, including Cargo Booking Portal, Cargo Website, Quote-to-Book Processes, Shipment Tracking, API Gateway Integrations, Notification Services, Interline Booking Workflows, and Customer Self-Service Features.\nOther cargo digital products and integrations.\nEnsure product functionality aligns with business rules, customer requirements, and operational processes.\n\nTest Automation: \nDesign, develop, and maintain automated test suites.\nBuild automated UI, API, and regression testing capabilities.\nImprove test automation coverage and execution efficiency.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\nSupport continuous testing practices within Agile delivery teams.\nMaintain reusable automation frameworks and test assets.\n\nAPI and Integration Testing: \nValidate REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.\nTest end-to-end workflows involving internal and external systems.\nValidate API requests, responses, payloads, authentication mechanisms, and business rule execution.\nVerify integrations with customer portals, third-party platforms, internal enterprise systems, and digital products.\nAnalyze logs, payloads, and data flows to troubleshoot integration issues.\n\nPerformance and Non-Functional Testing: \nSupport performance, reliability, and scalability testing activities.\nValidate application behavior under varying loads and operational scenarios.\nIdentify and report non-functional risks affecting user experience or system stability.\n\nAI-Assisted Testing: \nLeverage AI-powered tools to improve testing effectiveness and productivity.\nUse GenAI solutions to: Generate test cases and test scenarios, Create automation scripts.\nAnalyze requirements for coverage gaps, identify regression risks, Generate test data.\nSupport exploratory testing activities.\nAssist with defect analysis and documentation.\nStay current with emerging AI testing capabilities and recommend practical adoption opportunities.\n\nDefect Management and Reporting: \nLog, track, prioritize, and validate defects throughout the development lifecycle.\nPerform root cause analysis and support resolution activities.\nTrack and report testing progress, defect trends, and quality metrics.\nProvide regular visibility of quality risks and release readiness.\n\nRequirements: \nPrior experience in air cargo, freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, transportation, or airline domains is highly desirable but not mandatory.\nCandidates with strong quality engineering, automation, API testing, and integration testing experience from other industries are encouraged to apply.\nThe ability to quickly learn complex business processes and domain concepts will be considered equally important. The role requires close collaboration with product owners, business analysts, developers, UX designers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.\n7-10 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.\nMinimum 4 years of practical automation testing experience.\nExperience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.\nProven experience testing enterprise-scale web applications, APIs, integrations, and digital platforms.\nDemonstrated experience working closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders.\nExperience in air cargo, freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, transportation, or airline domains is highly desirable.\nCandidates with strong QA, automation, API testing, and enterprise application testing experience from other industries will also be considered.\nKnowledge of IATA cargo standards, cargo booking processes, shipment lifecycle management, or airline industry workflows will be an advantage but is not a mandatory requirement.\n\nTechnical Skills: \nHands-on experience with the following technologies and tools: Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress; Postman; REST API Testing; SQL; JIRA; Azure DevOps; Git; CI/CD Pipelines; and JMeter or equivalent performance testing tools.\nExperience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or similar programming/scripting languages is advantageous.\n\nAI and Modern QA Skills: \nPractical experience using AI-enabled quality engineering capabilities, including GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or Enterprise AI Assistants, AI-Based Test Automation Platforms, AI-Assisted Test Case Generation, and Self-Healing Test Automation Frameworks\nCandidates should be able to demonstrate real-world examples of how AI has improved
