This role will be part of a diversified analytical team, whose aim is to expand new and upcoming data integration, data profiling, and data driven decision-making for business units, while staying closely aligned to brand strategy and priorities.\nThe Data Analyst is responsible for identifying, building, and maintaining data analytics solutions to meet the needs of business users. This role will produce analytics products by working with the business and the other data analysts to delivering outcomes of high complexity.\nCore Responsibilities\nActively collaborate with business leaders to understand their business goals and objectives and provide them with new data analytics solutions to enable them to expand markets and grow membership, sales, investments, and charitable giving through the following:\nDevelop detailed and thorough source-to-target mappings in support of engineering integrations\nWrite complex analytical queries in support various proofs of concept, data modelling, and data profiling exercises\nDevelop thorough data validation and quality assurance test cases for data integration pipelines\nIdentifying and enhancing valuable data sources (within the organization and externally) through the enrichment of existing in-house data with third party data sources.\nCommunicating insights through the development and implementation of data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for internal and external use.\nCollaborating with Department managers, IT, IT Security, Data Warehouse, vendors, and contractors with regards to enterprise and departmental data needs.\nRemaining current on new analytical trends, practices, technologies, and solutions, where appropriate to ensure their timely introduction for competitive advantage.\nMeeting with stakeholders and making communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions.\nOther related duties as assigned\nSkills Qualifications\nAnalyze, interpret, and present data using industry relevant software\nEffective oral and written skills.\nBeing comfortable talking about technical matters with businesspeople and business matters with technical people.\nAbility to come up with previously uncovered analysis on business improvement based on new data sets\nAbility to verbally articulate complex analysis and insight simply\nAbility to analyze information to find trends or diagnose problem areas.\nBe decisive - ownership of the data gathered and the ability to make informed, critical decisions quickly.\nUnderstanding of cloud-based application architectures.\nExpert understanding of project management.\nExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nSystems/Technical Knowledge:\nExperience with Snowflake ecosystem\nStrong SQL programming skills.\nExperience with Data Vault 2.0 and Dimensional Modelling\nFamiliarity with Data Lake House and Medallion architecture\nProficiency in several areas of data modeling, statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization Experience with databases and similar applications.\nRelates well to others, engages people, and helps them understand change, provides and looks for feedback, articulates clearly, and actively listens.\nTeamwork skills with the ability to work in complex cross-functional settings.\nComfortable working in a constantly changing work environment with multiple competing projects and priorities; able to work well with complexity and ambiguity.\nUnderstanding of change management principles.\nAbility to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.\nEducation\nBA or BS degree with emphasis in Business, Statistics, Analytics, or Marketing. Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or Marketing preferred, or equivalent professional experience.\nExperience:\n3 to 5 years of Data analysis or data engineering. Working within a business function to support the data building and analysis for business units. \nRecord of business process improvement using data\nCompensation\nThe wage range for this role takes into account a broad array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The range below applies as long as the work is performed in Connecticut; the Knights of Columbus reserves the right to adjust the wage range if the position is performed in another location. At the Knights of Columbus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
