This includes direction in the handling of associate issues, employment actions, performance management and state and federal statutes. Responsible for investigating reasons for issues/concerns and partnering with leaders to resolve them.\nFUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nEnables the successful implementation of HR strategy, products and services to business unit clients. Provides communication to client group regarding HR initiatives as applicable.\nProvides guidance to management in the handling of associate relations issues; exercises care that reasons are well documented and are not arbitrary or discriminatory.\nEnsures compliance with Federal & local statutes and company policy; keeps abreast of legislation affecting human resources and company guidelines; makes recommendations for required changes.\nDemonstrates a thorough understanding of business/brand strategies and objectives, the competitive landscape, current and potential future business challenges.\nCreates effective teams and partnerships with appropriate HR and client groups to successfully accomplish goals.\nPartners with management regarding performance management; assist with development of constructive action plans, analyzes and process statistical results to identify opportunities for performance improvement.\nResearches and analyzes various human resources data relative to employment practices to ensure equitable treatment of associates.\nResponds to and documents associate issues reported through the Open Door and Ethics Hotline process. Investigates problems, allegations and complaints. According to the circumstances, provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to management.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBA/BS Degree Required; Master’s degree preferred\n5-7 years recent experience in employee relations, preferably in a retail environment.
