We are dedicated to creating fashion that not only looks good but also makes our customers feel good.About the role\n\nThe Associate Merchandiser collaborates with the lead Merchandiser on the execution of departmental strategies and business objectives; is responsible for translating information and ideas that contribute to an actionable business plan; and supports the department with any necessary tactical responsibilities.\nThe impact you can have\n\nSupport execution of departmental strategies and business objectives to achieve or exceed financial plans.\nGenerate, analyze, and distribute weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports.\nAnalyze business trends, recommend actions, and apply insights to future departmental strategies.\nProvide applicable historical information and market research.\nManage daily merchandising tasks, including assortment sheets, receipt updates, sample accuracy, handoffs, and timely cross-functional communication.\nPrepare materials for key Product Lifecycle meetings, including Hindsight and Investment Review.\nResearch fashion trends, pricing, promotions, and competitive activity; make recommendations based on findings.\nDemonstrate strong awareness of retail landscape.\nCollaborate with lead Merchandiser on building assortment.\nRecommend style ranking and attributes and chase/cancel strategies.\nProvide information and ideas to support development of seasonal strategies.\nActively participate on Cross-Functional team and make recommendations to drive results.\nBuild strong cross-functional relationships and contribute as a solution-oriented team member.\nYou’ll bring to the role\n\nBachelor’s degree in Fashion or Merchandising, or equivalent.\n3+ years of related experience in Merchandising in Retail.\nStrong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nSolid knowledge of retail financial measurements.\nStrong fashion sense, with a sense of brand and client needs.\nStrong business acumen with potential to grow into a Merchant role.\nAbility to be an active listener and take direction.\nStrong self-management and time management skills.\nDetail oriented, with excellent follow-through skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work in a highly collaborative environment.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications.\nBenefits\nYou will be eligible to receive a merchandise discount at select KnitWell Group brands, subject to each brand’s discount policies.\nSupport for individual development and career mobility across our family of brands.\nA culture of giving back through volunteer opportunities, donation matching, and community support activities.*\nMedical, dental, vision insurance & 401(K)* \nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nTime off - paid time off & holidays*\nThe target salary range for this role is: $65,000 -$70,000*\nHybrid: This position works in a hybrid model, with required days worked in the LOFT office location in New York, NY as defined by business needs.\n*Any job offer will consider factors such your qualifications, relevant experience, and skills.
