Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering with a dual major or minor in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred. A Co-op in this position will work within the Product R&D Centers of Excellence.\nEssential Functions:\nAdvanced product concept R&D\nTest fixture design and fabrication - hardware and software\nProduct validation and troubleshooting in laboratory and vehicle environments\nOversee inventory, assembly, and coordination of testing with technicians\nProduct phase reviews, product DFMEAs, and project management\nTroubleshooting, debug, root cause analysis, resolve equipment reliability issues\nSpecial systems and modules design\nMaterials analysis and testing\nCAD/CAE analysis and PLM systems\nProduct application development, road test, and customer demos\nCustomer and supplier new product development and current support\nAssist in translating customer requirements into new product\nEligibility Requirements:\nCurrently attending an accredited college or university\n3.0 cumulative GPA or higher\nDesign Tools - Pro-Engineer, IDEAS/ NX Solid Modeling, TeamCenter PLM\nFluency in English & Spanish is a plus\nMethods - FMEA, Six Sigma, 5S, Instrumentation\nComputer Operating Systems - Linux, Macintosh, Windows\nAnalysis Tools - MATLAB, Minitab, Dasylab, AMESim\nHands-on skills with mechanical tools, shop equipment, and trucks\nComputer Language - HTML, Visual Basic\nUnderstanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and simple electronic systems\nProficient in Microsoft® Office Tools - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio\nGeneral Information: \nHours and Location: 40-hour work week on-site in Avon, Ohio (20 miles west of Cleveland) \nPay Rate: $19 - $26/hour (contingent upon credit hours)\nPosition Requirements: \nThe demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
