Learn more today! www.bendix.com/careers\nJOB DESCRIPTION:\nPosition Title:Engineer 2-3, Product\nManager:Manager, Engineering - Valves\nDate Last Revised:July 28, 2026\nPosition Summary:\nProduct engineer owns engineering product responsibility for a specific product/ family of products.\nEffectively manage engineering activities (e.g. product validation, DFMEA updates, drawing approvals, specification updates) for product changes associated to customer requests and or design optimizations.\nProduct Engineers are considered the experts for one or more products providing technical support to customers, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.\nEssential Functions:\nThis position works closely with Test and Design Engineers to generate and or update product documentation (e.g. standards, DVP, drawings), perform and conduct product testing validation, and collaborate in cross-functional teams to achieve the technical and business objectives.\nCoordinate work with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, suppliers and customers as necessary.\nCollaborate with Design Engineers to plan and generate necessary changes to product’s drawings and models.\nCollaborate with Test and Corporate Engineers to develop validation plan for product design changes.\nCollaborate with manufacturing teams (quality and assembly) in order to develop processes in compliance with product specification requirements as necessary.\nElaborate testing procedures for parts to be analyzed.\nProvide conclusions and recommendations based on testing reports.\nResponsible for supplier’s PPAP’s evaluation and approval.\nDFMEA owner/responsible.\nLead product safety activities and procedures for the products under his/her responsibility and follow up on action items with team members.\nKnowledge:\nDFMEA, PFMEA\n\nRoot cause analysis (e.g. 8D)\n\nDVPR\n\nPPAP approval\n\nProduct Data Management\n\nProficient in GD&T\n\nCAD and FEA knowledge is a strong plus\n\nPneumatic valves, Mechatronics, and Solenoid design knowledge is strongly preferred.\n\nFamiliarity with Six Sigma processes and statistics is strongly preferred.\n\nSAP knowledge is a plus.\n\nExperience:\nEngineer 2:2+ years of experience plus bachelor’s degree\n\nEngineer 3:6+ years related experience with bachelor’s degree or 5+ years related experience with master’s degree\n\nMinimum 3 years of experience in engineering, with 3 or more years of automotive or similar industry experience\n\nAt least 3 years of experience in product responsibility\n\nStrong product design experience\n\nHigh level of experience in DFMEA’s and PFMEA’s\n\nExperience providing technical support to final customers\n\nLead in cost reduction projects\n\nExperience in statistical analysis (E.g.
