You will work individually and as part of a project team while receiving regular feedback in preparation for a final presentation to company leaders.\nJOB DESCRIPTION:\nEssential Functions\nEvaluate product improvement or cost optimization projects by conducting trials, including development of trial plans and authoring trial reports\nAssist with machine shutdowns and start-ups\nMonitor, assess, analyze, and optimize process quality and conditions\nMonitor, assess, and analyze process variability\nReduce environmental impact\nProvide technical support for key departments\nUtilize problem-solving and analytical skills to achieve department initiatives.\nProvide process engineering support to increase manufacturing capacity, improve safety/quality, and reduce manufacturing costs.\nLeverage process engineering capability to support production process continuous improvement using operational excellence tools.\nSupport capital project work from scoping through installation under technical supervision\nAssist in the design and technical supervision of plant studies and contribute to the design of the final project installation.\nSkills and Competencies\nUnderstanding of 5S methodology and Lean manufacturing principles.\nStrong communication and customer service skills\nExcellent time management and organizational skills\nEducation:\nDegree: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology with a 3.0 or higher GPA\nMinimum Year: Entering Junior year\nOur internships are not all work.
