It is the policy of the Company to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran or disabled status, or genetic information.\nJOB DESCRIPTION:\nIndustrial Quality Engineer Intern (Mechanical Engineering)\nEssential Functions\nSupport quality planning and product validation activities for mechanical components and assemblies.\nAssist with inspection, testing, and evaluation of products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality requirements.\nSupport First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, and supplier quality activities as required.\nPerform dimensional analysis and review engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerance requirements.\nCollect, analyze, and report quality data using statistical and problem-solving techniques.\nAssist in root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to product and process non-conformities.\nSupport quality improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving process capability, and enhancing customer satisfaction.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams on continuous improvement projects.\nCreate and maintain quality documentation, inspection records, and reports.\nUtilize 3D CAD models and engineering drawings to support product and quality evaluations.\nSkills and Competencies\nBasic understanding of quality engineering principles and manufacturing processes.\nBasic knowledge of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing methods.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).\nFamiliarity with 3D CAD software such as NX, Creo, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.\nUnderstanding of measurement and inspection techniques using common metrology tools.\nBasic knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.\nHands-on mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools, equipment, or laboratory testing.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.\nBecome part of our team!\nJoin us in shaping the mobility of the future!\nWe - that's around 32,000 employees worldwide.
