Coordinates internal and external 8D’s. Keeps communication with internal customers to follow up on quality issues. Acts as a liaison for the team to communicate, implement PSA procedures, Customer quality requirements and IATF-16949. Maintains Plant quality metrics and perform analysis to establish actions for improvement. Participates in product transfers/new launches.\nEssential Functions:\nCustomer and supplier quality related activities in the manufacturing side.\nCoordinate quality inspectors.\nDrives on Customer & FTF Quality Metrics to the production areas.\nTakes ownership on Companywide Quality initiatives and launch of new products.\nStarts and leads containment tasks.\nMaintains quality systems.\nEngages in supplier quality activities to support manufacturing area.\nMaintains customer quality metrics.\nDrives reduction of internal non-conformances.\nVoice of the Customer as it pertains to Customer quality issues.\nCommunicates and Supports Product Safety to Production team members.\nAttend VDA Audit.\nVisit Customer locations if needed\nHas the authority to stop production and/or shipment in case the quality of the product is compromised, in order to request the help needed to solve the problem.\nEnsure customer requirements are met\nKnows and communicates the need for product safety.\nThe employee has the authority to stop the production line when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.\nSupport PSA activities and procedures with team members\nAs well performs all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.\n Management & Supervisory Responsibilities: \nSupervise Quality Audits to ensure that manufacturing/quality processes are properly followed to avoid internal and external rejects and COPQ. \n Knowledge:\nWorking knowledge of Automotive/Trucking Industry quality requirements and ISO/IATF-16949 standards.\nExperience:\nMinimum 3+ years in a Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role. \nMinimum 2+ years in Mechatronics.\nMinimum 1+ year solving problems through Six Sigma -
