All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.\nPurpose of the Job\nWe are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Software Engineer to lead the design,\ndevelopment, and integration of software solutions within a Windows environment. The ideal candidate will have\ntechnical expertise and experience in software architecture and development, with deep expertise in C, C++, and\nC#. This role requires hands-on experience interfacing with SCADA systems, working with Genisys, Modbus, Allen\nBradley protocols, and integrating with PLCs in industrial automation settings as well as expertise to solve\nproblems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some\nlong-term business goals.\nResponsibilities\nDefine the software requirements specifications.\nDefine software architecture, design and implement the code.\nExcellent familiarity and use of configuration management tools to create baselines, merge source file changes and make formal software releases.\nBuild and maintain interfaces between Windows-based applications and SCADA systems.\nDevelop and maintain communication of SCADA systems and industry standard protocols such as Genisys,\nModbus, UDP, TCP/IP, and Serial Communication.\nIntegrate software with PLCs from various vendors (e.g. Allen-Bradley).\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration.\nMaking main technical choices for software development\nOptimize and maintain legacy codebases written in C, C++, and C#/. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. KB Signaling is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 120 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year.
